Best in Europe.
Six Irish players have made Midi Olympique’s Heineken Champions Cup team of the 2018/19 season – more than any other nation.
Ulster’s Jacob Stockdale, Leinster duo Sean Cronin and Tadhg Furlong, as well as Munster trio Tadhg Beirne, Joey Carbery and Peter O’Mahony all make the cut. Leinster’s Australian international Scott Fardy is also included in the unfamiliar position of seven.
Elsewhere European Player of the Year Alex Goode slots in at fullback, while the ever impressive Antoine Dupont partners Carbery in the halfbacks. Champions Saracens have three players in the team – Goode along with the Vunipola brothers, Mako and Billy.
