Such a shame.
All Blacks legend Dan Carter has been forced to withdraw from Racing’s squad for this afternoon’s Champions Cup final clash with Leinster in Bilbao.
Carter has suffered a hamstring injury and misses out on a spot in the matchday squad with Remi Tales coming in to take his spot on the replacements bench.
The game would have been Carter’s final European match ahead of his move to Japan and is a cruel blow for one of rugby’s all-time greatest players.
A huge boost for Leinster all the same. Carter could have done some serious damage off the bench.
