In the bag.
Ireland got their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign back on track this morning with a 35-0 win over Russia at the Kobe Misaki Stadium in Kobe City.
Tries from Rob Kearney (1), Peter O’Mahony (12), Rhys Ruddock (34), Andrew Conway (61) and Garry Ringrose (75) ensured Ireland came away with maximum points from the game, leaving them in good shape for a quarter-final spot.
The men in green still have an awful lot to work on but the conditions were difficult. The goal today was to get the five points and move onto Samoa and with 11 changes in the side, things went reasonably well.
Not conceding any points is a big positive against a Russian side who have been a lot better than originally expected at the World Cup so far. Anyway, here are the highlights from this morning.
