Full Extent Of Donnacha Ryan Injury Proves He’s An Absolute Warrior

Man or machine?

Donnacha Ryan once again proved he is more machine than man on Saturday evening, after it emerged he broke his collarbone just 10 minutes into Racing’s Champions Cup final defeat to Leinster.

Ryan fell awkwardly off a lineout very early in the first-half and seemed to be in some serious discomfort. But somehow he just got up and got on with it, finishing the game.

The former Munster second-row was in a sling after the game, with Midi Olympique reporting his season is now over. After the game in typical fashion, Ryan said it’s not often you play in a final, and you just ‘suck it up an get on with it’.

“I fell from a lineout but, sure, that’s it. That’s all part of it anyway. That’s rugby.” Ryan told SportsJoe

“There’s not many times you get to play in a final, you know? So you just suck it up and get on with it. That’s basically it.”

A true warrior of the game. All the best in your recover Donnacha.
