Incredible Ireland Try Nominated For World Rugby Try Of The Year Award

That pop pass though.

CJ Stander’s incredible try against England at Twickenham in the Six Nations is one of four tries nominated for International Rugby Players Try of the Year 2018.

The incredible effort which featured a beautiful pop pass from tighthead Tadhg Furlong to send Bundee Aki clean through, before Stander crashes against the post, is on a shortlist featuring tries from Scotland (that Finn Russell pass) and the All Blacks.

Ireland has previously won this award thanks to a superb team effort against Italy, finished by Jamie Heaslip back in 2016.

Jordan Larmour also has a chance of winning a prize at the World Rugby Awards, having been nominated for the Breakthrough Player of the Year award last week.
