World Rugby Is Not Happy With Dan Biggar

Dan Biggar is set to receive a formal warning by World Rugby over his recent outbursts on the pitch.

Reports suggest that the Wales management team have been made aware of the governing body’s disquiet about Biggar’s actions. They are now set to speak to the playmaker over the concerns.

The issue of dissent towards officials has gone to the top of the agenda in the game as they seek to stamp out the growing problem.

Biggar will need to be on his best behaviour as a result, for Saturday’s final autumn game with the Springboks after incidents during his last two performances, against Australia and Argentina.

In the autumn opener with the Wallabies, Biggar had words with South African referee Craig Joubert after being shown a yellow-card for an early tackle on Dane Haylett-Petty, which potentially cost Australia a try.

World Rugby are determined to stamp out the growing back-chat aimed at referees with the captain of a team the only player allowed to communicate with them.

This is not the first time Biggar has been in trouble for his in-game behaviour.
