The Irish 20’s secured a huge win last night in Donnybrook over a bruising French side, despite a late comeback from Les Blues.

Ireland took a huge 21-3 lead after just half an hour, before the French fought back to 21-10 at half-time.

France managed to fight back to within three points in the second-half, but a couple of more penalties and a heroic defensive display, ensured Ireland held on for a 27-22 win in Donnybrook.

Leinster centre Tommy O’Brien was immense throughout and was rewarded with the man of the match award. His try-saving tackle is one of the best we’ve ever seen.
