Some day for the post-match interviews.
Leinster tighthead Tadhg Furlong didn’t take too kindly to having his boots slagged off by Sky Sports’ Graham Simmonds this afternoon.
The Lions prop was given a bit of a hard time by the reporter for wearing white boots, given that he’s a ‘Wexford farmer tighthead.’ It was a bit of an awkward exchange as the camera even pans to to a barefoot Furlong who had since take the boots off.
“You don’t like them? Furlong said clearly taken back by the awkwardness of the situation.
“I’m very disappointed you don’t like them. I actually quite like them. Very comfortable.”
If you ask us, we quite like the boots. Gone are the days of stereotyping that front-rows can’t wear ‘flashy’ boots. Furlong also played an absolute blinder this afternoon.
Must have been the boots.
