I was lucky enough to witness this absolutely ridiculous pickup by All Blacks playmaker Beauden Barrett live on Saturday in Eden Park, but no matter how many times I see it, I still can’t get over it.

Most players in this situation would dive straight on the ball and get back to their feet while under such pressure, especially in a Test game of the magnitude on Saturday, but then again, Beauden Barrett isn’t most players.

The skill, confidence and awareness to scoop the ball of the ground at such immense pace is something to behold over and over again. What a talent, what a sublime piece of skill.
