Montpellier suffered defeat at the hands of Racing 92 in Saturday’s Top 14 play-off, finishing the game with 14 men thanks to this unbelievable assault on Bernard Le Roux by Jannie Du Plessis.
It appears Le Roux was holding on to Du Plessis and this is why the South African reacted. There’s no excuse however, for his completely over the top reaction, landing a slap and two clean punches on the Racing man.
A lengthy ban will surely follow…
