Joey Carbery grabbed the headlines thanks to his sumptuous pass to Isa Nacewa for Leinster’s first try in their win over Wasps yesterday, but there was another moment in the build-up to that score that shouldn’t go unnoticed.
A couple of phases before the ball made it’s way to Carbery, Leavy charged through the Wasps defence and got Leinster some excellent front foot ball with an monstrous carry. The back-row however got an accidental knee in the head for his troubles.
It wasn’t until Nacewa crashed line that Leavy looked for attention. A true warrior.
For Nacewa try: Leavy gets head opened on carry; gets straight to feet after cleanout; runs back into position; looks for help after score
