What balls.
Ireland have snatched victory at the death in Paris thanks to a monster drop-goal from 42 metres by Johnny Sexton.
It looked like Teddy Thomas had won it for for the French with a late try, but Ireland dug deep and come away with the win on the opening day of the tournament.
Sexton’s effort came after 42 incredible phases and keeps Ireland’s hopes of a Grand Slam alive with three home games now to come, before a huge game with England at Twickenham.
One of the most important moments in that incredible run of phases had Irish fans hearts’ in their mouth as Sexton put a risky cross-field up for Keith Earls. Thankfully it was perfect, and the take from Earls was incredible.
Check it out below.
