Brian O’Driscoll thinks uncapped Sale winger Denny Solomana should definitely be considered as a potential Lions tourist.
The former rugby league star recently made the move to union with Sale under some controversial circumstances but that hasn’t affected his performances on the pitch. The pacey winger has bagged nine tries in eight games for the English side since making the move.
Solomana is eligible for England and by default the Lions, with head coach Eddie Jones said to be monitoring him closely. O’Driscoll reckons the kind of physicality and excellent aerial skills he can bring make him a serious option.
“I have to say, the more I watch of this guy Solomona, the bigger a fan I become. He has brilliant physicality to his game. He’s good aerially and he does all the simple things effectively.
“Yes, he may be lacking in a bit of experience but he brings that brute force that you’re going to need for an attritional game.”
What do you think? A potential bolter?
