Fair play.
England international Billy Vunipola has been praised for this incredible bit of honesty in Saracens’ win over Harlequins this past weekend.
With the two sides tied 3-3, the number eight picked and went 5 metres from Quins’ try-line, but was unsuccessful in his attempt – losing control of the ball.
Rather than waste time and force the referee to go to the Television Match Official (TMO), Vunipola put his hand up straight away, admitting there was no need to check because he knocked it on.
“Good honesty.” Quins flanker Chris Robshaw said.
