Munster and Racing fans observed a minute’s applause for Anthony Foley ahead of today’s Champions Cup clash.
The former captain and head coach was tragically found dead just hours before the two sides were set to meet in the opening round of the tournament back in October. The players and fans have been united in tribute today as the rescheduled game finally goes ahead.
The Racing players wore special red Axel 8 t-shirts as they warmed up while the fans held up special banners around the stadium, with one of them simply reading ‘Red Army, Welcome Back.’
Munster have everything to play for today while it is nothing more than a dead rubber match for Racing. Regardless of that it’s going to be a fiery affair.
Can the Munster player’s get the win for Foley? Only time will tell…
