Premiership giants Wasps will lose lose international stars Elliot Daly, Nathan Hughes and Willie le Roux at the end of the season according to a report by Chris Foy in the Daily Mail.
Day reportedly has a clause in his contract that if a new training ground facility is not developed – he can seek employment elsewhere. And with no sign of that happening anytime soon, it appears the England international will do just that, with the report suggesting he is close to finalising a deal with rivals Saracens.
Hughes meanwhile has long been linked with a £500,000-a-season move to Bristol, and with Wasps apparently unable to match that deal, the powerful number eight looks set to join Pat Lam’s side in the summer.
Le Roux has enjoyed one of his best years to date having been recalled by Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus, and also looks set for the exit. He’s been unavailable for much of this season with the Rugby Championship and November Internationals coinciding with the Premiership, and is reportedly set for a move to Japan.
Wasps have also lost the services of Christian Wade to the NFL in recent weeks, but there is some good news. Club captain Joe Launchbury is believed to have a similar clause to Daly, but will not exercise his option to leave.
