This was a big one.
A lot of top class players missed out on Lions selection as was always going to be the case given the talent pool available to Warren Gatland.
No player however should probably feel more aggrieved than England’s Joe Launchbury. The lock forward was probably the standout lock at this year’s Six Nations, putting in a number of MOTM displays and also being nominated for player of the tournament.
Instead his Six Nations 2017 second-row partner Courtney Lawes will travel along with fellow Englishmen George Kruis and Maro Itoje and Irish lock Iain Henderson.
A lot of people have vented their frustration online, including his club Wasps who are far from impressed.
