Warren Gatland’s Son On Who He Wants To Win Between The All Blacks & Lions

Bryn Gatland, son of Lions head coach Warren is set to take on his father’s side this weekend as he lines out for the Provincial Barbarians.

The 22-year-old North Harbour outhalf will play for the Provincial Barbarians on Saturday, in the first match of the 2017 tour of New Zealand.

But who will he be supporting in the Tests games against the All Blacks as his dad looks to pick up a first series win over New Zealand since 1971?

“I’m an All Blacks supporter normally but family comes first so I want the Lions to do well,” Bryn told the Telegraph.
What would you want if it was your father [coaching the Lions]?” he asks.
“It’s not that I want the All Blacks to lose, it’s that I want Dad to do well. It will be amazing if the Lions can do well against the best side in the world. It will be a very proud moment for my family if Dad can achieve that goal.”

Come this Saturday however, there’s no doubt he’ll be hoping to cause an upset against Gatland Snr’s side.
