Warren Gatland will reveal his Lions backroom staff on Wednesday, with Rob Howley, Andy Farrell and Steve Borthwick set for the tour to New Zealand.
Borthwick will come on board as Gatland’s forwards coach with Farrell returning as defence coach after a successful series win in 2013 over Australia while in the role. Interim Wales head coach Rob Howley will come on board as attack coach after Gregor Townsend rejected the Kiwi’s advances according to the Daily Mail.
Mike Catt could well make the backroom team too. He joined Conor O’Shea in the Italy set-up this year after leaving England at the end of 2015. Gatland will announce his choices in Dublin on Wednesday as he steps up his preparations for the tour in June next year.
What do you think of his potential coaching choices? Are these the right me to lead the Lions in New Zealand?
