Wales have suffered a late injury blow ahead of their Six Nations clash with England on Saturday.
George North is set to be ruled out of this weekend’s clash at the Principality, with Alex Cuthbert in line to replace him on the wing.
WalesOnline are reporting that the Lions winger has been unable to recover from the leg injury he picked up in last weekend’s win over Italy.
North picked up the injury early in the first-half, but continued despite the injury clearly causing him discomfort. Interim head coach Rob Howley delayed his team announcement yesterday, in order to assess both North and Dan Biggar who also picked up an injury in the Italian game.
It was revealed yesterday evening that despite both players being named in the starting line-up- they are both touch and go, and will be given until right before kick-off to prove their fitness. Biggar is set to be winning the race to be fit, but North will apparently be ruled out.
