Tensions.
Wales captain Alun Wyn Jones was reportedly punched by teammate Jake Ball in training this week as tensions mount in their camp ahead of today’s Six Nations opener with Ireland in Cardiff.
Jones will sport a black eye at the Principality this afternoon according to a report by MailOnline, as a direct result of the incident involving Ball who has not been included in Wales’ squad to face Ireland.
The WRU have downplayed the incident behind the scenes which comes on top of the much-publicised axing of winger Josh Adams earlier this week for breaking COVID restrictions.
Adams was suspended and dropped from the squad on Wednesday after it was discovered he broke lockdown rules to attend a gender reveal party at a relative’s home.
Not exactly ideal preparations for the Welsh.
