This is a tough one.
Joe Schmidt has some really difficult decisions to make next week when he names his Ireland team for their Six Nations opening round fixture against Scotland.
The Irish provinces are on fire, with a number of positions up for grabs across the starting XV and bench. One position Schmidt has a ridiculous embarrassment of riches is the back-row.
Peter O’Mahony has rediscovered the kind of form that made him one of the frontrunners for the captaincy last year, before it was given to Rory Best.
Josh van der Flier continues to battle it out for club and country with Sean O’Brien for the openside, with O’Brien still struggling to overcome his injury problems.
CJ Stander is probably the in form back-row in the country right now but is he a better six or a better eight? Heaslip was one of Ireland’s best players last year, and his consistency is second to none, but is it time to shift Stander to eight?
Vote below and let us know what back-row you would pick to take on Scotland on Saturday week.
