Sale’s Johnny Leota got in trouble for this but in fairness it couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.

It’s pretty safe to say that Saracens and England winger Chris Ashton is not the most loved of players and now it looks like he is off Johnny Leota’s Christmas card list too.

When Sale played Saracens the week before last Ashton ran the ball into touch but rather than give the ball back to Sale, he dropped it over the advertising boards. So, Sale’s Leota decided to drop Ashton over the boards too.

That decision saw the penalty reversed by referee JP Doyle, but we think Leota was in the right here. Have a look for yourself LADS
