Video: Highlights & Reaction To Japan’s Historic Win Over South Africa

Japan pulled off possibly the biggest upset in the history of the Rugby World Cup yesterday, in what was one of the greatest displays of rugby we have ever seen.

Trailing 32-29 deep in injury time, Eddie Jones declined a penalty that would have seen them claim a famous draw but they had their hearts set on victory and had the class and composure to make it happen as they scored in the corner through Karne Hesketh to shock the world.

It’s Japan’s second win in seven world cup appearances… their only other victory coming against Zimbabwe.

Eddie JonesEddie Jones is one happy coach It is a great day for Japanese rugby. Today is just the start. Our target is to make a quarter final now If you are a young kid at home in Japan watching rugby now you’d want to play rugby at the next World Cup.もし君が日本に住んでいる子どもだったら、この試合を見て次のW杯で日本代表でプレーしたいと思うだろう。
