Jamie Roberts or Scott Williams will captain Wales this summer against Samoa and Tonga according to WalesOnline.
Caretaker coach Robin McBryde will announce his tour captain when he names his squad next Tuesday for June tour.
Skipper Alun Wyn Jones will be on tour with the Lions this summer as will former captain Sam Warburton who will captain the British & Irish Lions in New Zealand.
The choice could apparently be determined by who of Roberts and Williams is higher on the standby list of centres for the Lions should any injuries occur in the centre.
