Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal appears to have released former All Blacks winger Julian Savea after a string of poor performances since signing for the fallen former French giants.
Savea is in his first season with the club, but things haven’t exactly gone according to plan and it looks like he’s about to be sent packing. Boudjellal has said that the All Black is ‘not the player’ he signed and has told Savea he is ‘no longer welcome’ at the club.
“”I’m going to ask for a DNA test. I’ve told him he’s been released and he’s not welcome at Toulon. He’s got a year left on his contract, he can do what he wants.” Boudjellal told RMC Sport.
If I were him, I would apologize and I would go home.”
Could Savea’s time with Toulon be over after less than a season? Looks like it.
