Fijian winger Josaia Raisuqe has been sacked by Stade Francais.
Raisuqe and teammate Waisea Nayacalevu are due in court in relation to an incident in a Paris nightclub in July.
Nayacalevu has been left off with a formal warning, but the French club have revealed that Raisuqe has been dismissed with immediate effect.
The pair were already on suspension pending a court hearing after they were arrested on suspicion of drunken violence. Raisuqe also faces a sexual assault charge.
“Without predicting any possible consequences for judicial indictments, the club has imposed the following sanctions: the dismissal of Josaia Raisuqe for serious misconduct, and a warning placed in the disciplinary file of Waisea Nayacalevu,” said the Parisian club in a statement.
You may remember Raisuqe as the winger who was sent-off last season for a stamp on Ospreys star Keelan Giles, resulting in a 10-week ban. He also missed 15 weeks the season before last, for an eye-gouge on Munster’s CJ Stander.
