Toby Faletau is completely unfazed by All Blacks legend Zinzan Brooke’s comment about him.
Brooke made some comments last month, stating that he believes Faletau lacks the ‘mongrel edge’ to worry the All Blacks. The former All Blacks number eight said he had ‘reservations’ about the Lions star and suggested that he might get found out this summer.
The Welsh international however reckons Brooke can say what he wants, it won’t affect his game in any way.
“That’s up to him to say what he wants to say,” said Faletau.
“I’ve got no reply for him to be honest. It’s his opinion and I’ll just go about doing my job.”
Faletau starts at eight for the Lions opening tour game on Saturday. No doubt he’ll be looking to bring that ‘mongrel edge’ he apparently lacks.
