Rob Kearney and CJ Stander were said to be on yellow alert yesterday.
The Irish duo were both suffering from the ill-affects of last weekend’s bruising encounter with the All Blacks. Stander came off in the first-half for a HIA and did not return to the field, being replace by Josh van der Flier.
Kearney was assessed after the game with both players following return to play protocols all week. Schmidt delayed his team announcement yesterday as a result but ended up naming both player’s in his starting line-up.
Donnacha Ryan and Tieran O’Halloran were said to be on standby should the duo not be ready in time for tomorrow’s game. It’s now been reported this morning that both player’s have passed return to play protocols and will be available for the Wallaby game.
Ireland take on Australia at the Aviva tomorrow with kick-off at 5.30pm.
