Dan Carter and his Racing teammates will not be happy about this.

Racing 92 trio Dan Carter, Joe Rokocoko and Juan Imhoff have once again been ordered to reappear in front of the French Anti-Doping agency in relation to their use of TUE’s last season ahead of Top 14 final.

All three players tested positive for cortisone use ahead of the French final, opening up a huge debate about the use of TUE’s (Therapeutic Use Exemptions) in rugby. The incident came to light in July of last year, and was met with a mixed reaction.

The trio were acquitted of any wrong doing but now according to French media, have all been recalled to face a panel for further clarifications, on dates yet to be released. French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD) president Bruno Genevois has revealed that the the original investigation will be reviewed and a “possible revision of the decision” could be made.

Newly appointed Rugby Federation president Bernard Laporte however, has revealed they players are not at risk.

“It’s not because they think there’s a fault. On the contrary, the more transparency there is, the better.

“They’re doing their job, they have the right to check. You can’t be scared of that. At Toulon, we were tested six times in one year.

“We have nothing to hide. They’ll get to the bottom of things.

“They want to delve deeper, end of story. If they do it, it’s because they have their reason.”

Carter was livid over the original publication of the incident and no doubt will be frustrated once again with this latest twist.
