Who has impressed you the most?
The guys over at the The Rugby Net have once again done the all hard work, compiling all the stats from the first two rounds, putting them together into a rankings list so we can see who’s performing the best in each position. If we take all the individual scores for each player and rank them, it makes for an interesting top 5.
CJ Stander is currently way out in front, with 1429 point, over a hundred more than his nearest competitor- Joe Launchbury. The England and Wasps lock has formed a formidable pairing with Courtney Lawes this year who’s also on the list at number four.
Wales centre Jonathan Davies is playing some of his best rugby in a Welsh jersey in quite some time and is rewarded by coming in at number three overall. Interestingly the final entrant on the list is England’s Joe Marler, who has put in some superb performances in Mako Vunipola’s absence.
Top 5 Six Nations Players (Score in brackets)
1. CJ Stander (1429)
2. Joe Launchbury (1306)
3. Jonathan Davies (1205)
4. Courtney Lawes (1194)
5. Joe Marler (1191)
*The ratings are mathematically generated from a variety of objective criteria, meaning they aren’t simply an opinion of who is best, they are calculated by The Rugby Net Rating Engine. The Rating Engine takes in information (statistics, standings, match results, etc) and produces a rating for each player. For a full breakdown of the algorithm click here
