Disaster.
Tadhg Furlong put in another excellent shift this past weekend, as Ireland edged past France in their Six Nations opener thanks to the boot of Johnny Sexton.
The Leinster tighthead was once again solid in the scrum, and made some big tackles at the Stade de France. Going forward he made some important carries, and some key passes.
He, as most of the Irish players, left the Stade de France absolutely battered and bruised. The forwards in particular had to give it their all in such a tight game.
Furlong also ended up with some ‘cauliflower ear’ after the game, and was forced to get his ear drained. As a result he now has just one ear in action and is unable to wear his glasses properly. A forward’s absolute nightmare!
