Pat Lam is already spending his inheritance.
All Blacks and Blues back-row Steven Luatua is set to join Premiership strugglers Bristol next season, whether they get relegated or not.
The talented flanker’s move came as a bit of a surprise to All Blacks boss Steve Hansen, who made it clear he wasn’t happy that Luatua is leaving, and the circumstance’s surrounding it.
The player himself stated last week that the NZRU offer was a million miles away from what Bristol offered him and it’s easy to see why.
Luatua is set to receive a whopping £650,000 a year at the English side, with no relegation clause in his contract according to The Rugby Paper’s Neil Fissler. Not bad at all.
