Simon Zebo – “As Always The Munster Fans Are Up There With The Best In The World”

Incredible.

Former Munster fullback Simon Zebo returned to Thomond Park this evening for the first time since leaving his home province for Racing 92 – and he reckons the French side can go home proud after they left Limerick with two points.

Racing were leading 21-14 with just over five minutes to go but in typical Munster fashion, the home side got themselves back into the game with a try from Andrew Conway that was brilliantly converted by JJ Hanrahan.

Hanrahan had a chance to snatch it at the death for Munster but his drop goal went left and wide. Zebo was given an incredible reception before and after the match by the home fans and after the game, he said the experience of coming back was “incredible.”

“It was incredible. The reception was incredible,” Zebo said.

“As always the Munster fans are up there with the best in the world as we all know.

“To come back here and play in the Racing colours I was very proud but it was a very close game. Probably a deserved draw.”
