Worcester Warriors have completed the signing of Scotland international David Denton from Bath ahead of the 2017/18 season.
Th Zimbabwean-born back-row forward, who can also play at lock, qualified for Scotland through his mother and has played 35 times for his adopted country, with his last appearance coming in June 2016.
He featured four times in Scotland’s 2015 Rugby World Cup run, starting the quarter-final clash against Australia. Denton signed for Bath following the World Cup as a direct replacement for Sam Burgess.
Worcester Director of Rugby Gary Gold said:
“David is a powerful athlete who will add more firepower to our back row.
“He is a strong ball-carrier with international experience and we look forward to his arrival in the summer.”
Denton added:
“I can’t wait to get started at Warriors. Gary and the team are clearly pushing in the right direction and I want to play a part in driving the Club up the Premiership table.”
