Maitland will be following the likes of Ben Spencer (Bath), Ben Earl (Bristol) Nick Isekwe (Sale), Alex Lozowski (Toulouse), Nick Tompkins (Dragons) and Will Skelton (La Rochelle) out the door at Saracens with more departures expected.
New Zealand-born Maitland began his European adventure with Glasgow having joined them from Crusaders in 2012.
Eligible for Scotland through his grandparents, Maitland earned his first international cap in the 2013 Six Nations and was called up by the British & Irish Lions in Australia the following summer.
He signed for London Irish in 2015 before moving to Saracens the following summer where he has been ever since, winning multiple Premiership and European titles.
