Sales Sharks are set to bolster their ranks next season with two international stars.
Springbok nine Faf de Klerk and Wallaby utility back James O’Connor have agreed deals with Sale Sharks ahead of next season according to The Rugby Paper. O’Connor has been searching for a club since it was revealed that his contract with Toulon will not be renewed at the end of the season.
Scrumhalf de Klerk has fallen out of favour with the Springboks coach Allister Coetzee and is set to replace Mike Phillips at the AJ Bell Stadium, with the Welsh legend revealing earlier in the week that he will retire at the end of the season.
The talented nine has reportedly been granted an early release from his contract and will sign a deal worth £500,000 a season.
Tongan international forward Dan Faleafa is also reportedly on Sales radar.
