Former Munster and Ireland outhalf Ronan O’Gara look set to leave the Crusaders after two years down south with the Super Rugby champions in favour of a move back to France.
O’Gara left Parisian side Racing 92 back in 2017 to take up the assistant coach role at the Crusaders, with reports in France suggesting he’s now set to leave at the end of the Super Rugby season and move back to the Top 14 with La Rochelle.
La Rochell are are expected to announce O’Gara as a replacement for back coach Xavier Garbajosa, who left the club today. In a statement, La Rochelle said that Director of Rugby Jono Gibbes will comment on his coaching staff at the end of the season.
