Robbie Henshaw may miss Leinster’s opening Champions Cup game as a result of the knee injury he sustained while playing for Ireland.
Henshaw suffered a knee injury in the second test against South Africa that ruled him out of the final test. The Leinster bound centre has had to undergo surgery to fix the problem, and expected to be out for 14 weeks.
The news suggest he may not available for selection for the first weekend of the Champions Cup on October 14th.
Henshaw had cartilage repaired in his left knee and it’s expected that Leinster and the IRFU will ease him back into action before Ireland’s full test window in November with two tests against the All Blacks, and a test against Australia facing Joe Schmidt’s men.
