Robbie Henshaw has highlighted that his side’s communication in attack and defence hugely effected their performance on Saturday.
Ireland’s defence looked out of sorts for a large portion of the game and their decision making in attack left many chances wasted.
Henshaw believes not having experienced heads like Jared Payne and Johnny Sexton in the back-line took its toll.
“Communication is a massive factor in our defence and attack. Without it we”d be lost,” said Henshaw.
“For us on the weekend our communication could have been better.
“Johnny and Jared have been around a while and are masters at it whereas a fewer of the younger guys, myself and Garry and Paddy are still growing our voice.”
Henshaw also spoke highly of Ringrose’s talent, with the two Leinster team-mates viewed as Ireland’s long-term centre partnership in the years to come.
“It [outside centre] is a big responsibility but he’s a class footballer,” Henshaw added.
“He’s well able to deal with it and he showed in the second half his defence is top class. There are no doubts there.
“We grew into the game. We fixed our defence and attacked flatter in the second half. I felt it was a different game for us in the second half. If we go into this weekend with the mindset of how we attacked that second half, we will benefit a lot better.”
