Wow.
Once upon a time Fijian winger Sevu Reece was set to join Connacht after absolutely tearing it up in the Mitre 10 Cup with the Waikato Chiefs and catching the eye of the Irish province.
A deal was signed and sealed, but after some troubles off the field, the western province decided to pull out of the deal. Ronan O’Gara’s Crusaders then decided to give him a second chance, and he hasn’t look back since.
The 22-year-old has been one of the Crusaders’ best players this season, and starred this morning as they dispatched of the Lions with relative ease with a 36-10 win in Christchurch.
His try in the 34 minute has to be seen to be believed, with Reece sending Lions number eight Kwagga Smith airborne before crashing over the line. Incredible stuff.
