Red.
Ireland U20s will have to play almost 60 minutes of their World Championship clash with Australia down to 14-men after lock Ryan Baird was sent off for a clumsy high tackle.
Baird was shown a straight red card after a lengthy review process between the TMO and referee who both decided in the end the Irishman had to go for an early bath, with the tackle being clearly high with no mitigating factors.
In fairness to Baird he knew he had made a mistake straight away, with no clear intention to hurt his opponent. But the laws are pretty clear and he had to go.
Meanwhile Australia currently lead 10-0 with 27 minutes on at the time of writing.
