So silly.
England U20s replacement hooker Alfie Barbeary has just seen red for a very clumsy and dangerous challenge on Ireland’s John Hodnett that could have resulted in a very serious injury.
Barbeary seemed to have a rush of blood to the head as he lifted the Ireland 20s star way beyond the horizontal before dropping him from height. Thankfully for Hodnett his fall was slightly broken by a nearby ruck and he got his hands out in time.
A red card all day long and probably a ban incoming. In terms of the game itself, Ireland currently lead 14-man England 35-26 at the time of writing.
RED CARD:
66mins:
England substitute hooker Alfie Barbeary is dismissed for lifting up and dropping Ireland's John Hodnett.
