Breach of protocol.
The real reason playmaker Kurtley Beale was shockingly dropped by Wallabies boss Michael Cheika for this weekend’s clash with England at Twickenham has emerged.
Both Beale and teammate Adam Ashley-Cooper have been stood down for this weekend’s Test at Twickenham after breaching team protocol. The pair have been disciplined after they were caught inviting women back to their hotel after the first Test in Cardiff.
The Wallabies have a strict rule that no guests are allowed to be brought back to hotel rooms. It is believed the women were Ashley-Cooper’s sister-in-law and two friends, but senior players, including captain Michael Hooper, deemed it an unacceptable breach.
Cheika said Beale had been left out of the team based on form, but clearly now this is not the case.
Meanwhile back-rower David Pocock has been forced to pull out of the squad after failing a fitness test.
