Racing 92 & France Superstar Virimi Vakatawa Could Be On His Way To The Premiership

Racing 92 and France superstar Virimi Vakatawa could be on his way to the Premiership with Gloucester reportedly making him a “colossal offer” to sign for them when his contract expires next year.

Leading French publication Midi Olympique are reporting, that Gloucester have made a serious offer to sign the centre as one of their marquee players in what would be one of the biggest transfers in recent memory.

The offer is said to have landed on the desk of Vakatawa’s agent a couple of weeks ago with his contract due to expire at the end of next season, leaving him with plenty to think about as his plots his future.

Vakatawa has been one of the stars of the Champions Cup this season and currently leade the way in terms of the highest total of defenders beaten from the pool stage with 39.

Another player who could be leaving Racing is France international winger Teddy Thomas who is reportedly being courted by Toulouse. Racing may be reluctant to hand him a new deal with his contract also up next year due to his injury profile.
