Facundo Isa has been released from his contract with Los Jaguares, just days before the Super Rugby season.
The Argentinian back-row will join Toulon ahead of the 2017/18 Top 14 season, but has now been released early from his Super Rugby contract.
He will now move to France early and join Lyon as a medical joker until the end of the current Top 14 season.
In announcing the signing, Lyon said in a statement that Isa was “known for his power, his adaptability and most of all for his handling skills”.
Isa, who played in the 2015 Rugby World Cup with the Pumas where the reached the semi-final, was previously on Toulon’s books for the 2013/14 season. However, the Argentine Federation only selects home-based players, meaning Isa may no longer be available for his country.
