“I’m not f**king leaving.”
A statement from the Italian Rugby Federation revealed this morning that Zebre intend to withdraw from the PRO12. The federation stated that they had been contacted by Zebre to outline their intentions of withdrawing from the tournament.
A meeting however has taken place in Parma between the two organisations, with Zebre now set to stay in the competition, albeit under new ownership. The club is set to revert back to being owned by the Italian Rugby Federation, with new management also set to come into place.
Zebre will compete in this season’s PRO12 and will continue to play their games in Parma.
