Premiership champions Exeter Chiefs have been linked with a move for Australian lock Rob Simmons.
The 70 times capped Wallaby will be looking for a new club this summer after the Queensland Reds decided against renewing his contract.
The Australian reports that Simmons ‘will be in contact with his old state and Test second-row partner James Horwill, now playing impressively for Harlequins, and checking out the possibilities in Britain’.
The Chiefs will be without veteran lock Geoff Parling next season. The former England and Lions second-row is joining Australian Super Rugby franchise the Melbourne Rebels, with Simmons seen as an ideal replacement.
