Lions.
Head coach Warren Gatland is set to name his British and Irish Lions squad on Thursday with excitement starting to build across the rugby world.
Around 20 players at this stage are pretty much “nailed on” no matter what way you look at it but we reckon Gatland and his coaching ticket are going to have a couple of late nights between here and Thursday as they look to finalise their squad.
Gatland is expected to go with a 36-man squad so that’s what we’ve gone with but don’t be surprised if he decides to bring a few more given the fact that his squad will have to be in a social bubble because of COVID-19 making additions to the squad difficult if needs be.
The back-row is especially competitive and it will be interesting to see who misses out at 10 with all fingers pointing towards Finn Russell given Gatland’s style of play. Anyway, here’s our squad.
