Not a bad bunch to add to your training camp.
Warren Gatland must have been the happiest man in rugby this weekend after results favoured him and his British & Irish Lions team in a big way.
If we told you at the beginning of the weekend that both Leinster and Saracens would be knocked out in their respective semi-finals, you would have thought we were completely mad. To be honest, anyone that says they saw it coming is a liar.
For Gatland is means a whole host of stars joined him in Dublin today for their second and final training camp before they fly out to New Zealand. With Leinster, Saracens and Ospreys season’s now over, Gatland was able to call on the likes of Johnny Sexton, Owen Farrell, Sean O’Brien, Rhys Webb, Mako Vunipola and Alun Wyn Jones.
While Gatland suffered a massive blow in losing Billy Vunipola, getting his hands on the likes of Sexton and Farrell a week earlier than he probably expected is a huge boost for his preparations. Roll on New Zealand.
